“See below for all the boring bits”

The Nest is set on a farm and therefore it does not have paved paths in places the terrain is uneven so please make sure that all of your party are aware of this and wear suitable footwear. Wellies, crocs or trainers are easiest for everyone and can be kicked off on the deck before entering the tent!

  • Visitors

The Nest is situated on a private working farm, with roaming livestock, nesting birds and space for children to explore freely. In order to protect this, we limit the number of people that are here at any time. We feel that additional guests would upset this balance so we are unable to welcome any visitors.

  • Dogs

We are happy to welcome 2 dogs per lodge. As The Nest is situated on a working farm and there is livestock, dogs must be kept under control and on leads at all times around the lodges and lake and anywhere where livestock is around. Dogs must not be left unsupervised in the lodges. We charge a £25 supplement per dog and provide towels and bowls for your dog during your stay. Please clean up after your dog. Bins are provided at the back of your lodge.

  • Noise

We ask that guests keep noise to a minimum after 10.30pm and before 8am, in consideration of others. You are staying in a canvas lodge and noise will carry! Please use headphones if you wish to listen to music or any other device.

  • Smoking/Fire

Smoking is not permitted at any time within the lodge or on the decks. Please do not leave any lit candles, lanterns or fires unattended. Please do not use your BBQ inside the lodges at any time as this poses a serious fire hazard.

  • Breakages/Damage

Please leave the accommodation tidy and let us know if anything gets broken, so we can replace it for our next guest. We will only charge for replacement in exceptional circumstances, as we expect a degree of wear and tear. If damage is directly attributable to the guest, then we reserve the right to request payment of up to £150 from the guest.

  • Responsibility

By booking and coming to The Nest you agree to be responsible for your children and any children in your care, and your own welfare and to take all reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to facilities and lodges. The Nest is situated next to a lake and there are ponds in the grass fields and next to the car park. There is signage around the lake, please ensure you stay within the designated areas as these areas are equipped with life rings for your safety. Children must be supervised at all times.
